Learning Disabilities Lead Support Worker
North Shields
Permanent Position Full Time (37.5 hpw)
Salary £18000
£9.00 per hour if youd prefer to work on our bank on a casual basis

We have fabulous opportunity for you to join our awesome team where youll support our brilliant customers who have learning disabilities.
They live in single person units/flats, each with access to their own living area, bathroom and small kitchen. All units are fully furnished with further facilities within the building which include lounge and dining area and a large garden which surrounds the building.
We help our customers with a helping hand and assisting with some tasks to develop and maintain basic life skills and live independently
 
About our team
Our manager is Kelly, and shes looking forward to creating a fabulous new team.   Theyll be 8 of us in the team and we know youll love being part of our Home Group family. 
 
Working hours
We provide 24-hour support to our customers each day and every day. Youll work on a rota basis and take your turn working days, evenings, weekends and bank holidays. We need you to be flexible to meet the needs of our customers, but we aim to give you the time you need to spend time doing the things that matter to you!

Looking for a more flexible working pattern? You can also join us on a flexible basis by being part of our bank.  You can work hours that fit around your current commitments or even pick up some additional shifts to your main role to earn some extra cash and get paid on a weekly basis.
 
About you
Youre passionate and motivated to help vulnerable people make positive and lasting changes to their lives. Youll impress us with your ability to work on your own initiative, positively influencing people from all different backgrounds. 
 
Youll help change our customers lives (and our services) for the better by undertaking risk assessments, support planning, goal setting and regular reviews. Youll create bespoke and personalised support plans with and for your customers.  Each plan will look to meet our customers individual needs and aspirations, making sure they meet safeguarding and confidentiality requirements. Youll also have responsibility for coordinating our support workers, apprentices and volunteers, and working collaboratively with external agencies, to assess and engage support for our customers.
 
We empower our customers to develop the independent living skills they need, to successfully move on. Together well make a difference!
 
If youre not the biggest fan of technology, thats not a problem to us. You do need to know that we are quite a high tech company and most of our application process and mandatory learning are online. However were glad to support you, if you need help.
