Thats when it hits home. We have a fantastic opportunity for a brilliant Supported Living Worker like you to join our fab and supportive team. This is a brand new CQC registered service providing support to our brilliant customers who have learning disabilities within an accommodation support setting. All of the accommodation provided for our customers comprises of single person units/flats, each with access to their own living area, bathroom and small kitchen. All units are fully furnished with further facilities within the building which include lounge and dining area and a large garden which surrounds the building.North Tyneside Learning Disability Service comprises of 3 services across 3 sites. Stephenson Street and Beacon Street are near North Shields town centre and Cedar Tree Court is in Whitley Bay. There is an expectation that youll work across the 3 sites. Youll support our customers to live their day to day lives as independently as possible. The team will tell you that no two days are ever the same because everything we do is person centred around our customers. You might help with personal care (like bathing and issuing medication) in the morning and supporting them to attend college in the afternoon. We even help customers to go on holiday! Like our team, were sure youll find the role ever so rewarding. About our teamOur manager is Kelly, and shes really looking forward to building this new team. When the team is all recruited theyll be 8 of yous and we know that youll quickly become part of the Home Group family. Working hours We provide 24-hour support to our customers each day and every day. Youll work on a rota basis and take your turn working days, evenings, weekends and bank holidays. We need you to be flexible to meet the needs of our customers, but we aim to give you the time you need to spend time doing the things that matter to you!For those interested in our waking night role youll work during the twilight hours. You can work hours that fit around your current commitments or even pick up some additional shifts to your main role to earn some extra cash and get paid on a weekly basis.
