Year 1 Teacher sought by a Wirral Primary School for one term from September 2024

Your new role
A successful Wirral primary school is looking for a Year 1 Teacher on a full-time basis to provide cover for the autumn term from September 2024. The school is a friendly and welcoming community that values diversity and inclusion. The school aims to provide a stimulating and supportive learning environment for all children, regardless of their abilities or backgrounds. The school has a strong focus on developing children's social and emotional skills, as well as their academic potential.

As Year 1 Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality lessons that meet the needs of all children in the class, differentiating your planning where appropriate, and following the national curriculum. You will also be expected to assess and monitor pupil progress, provide feedback and support, and work collaboratively with other staff and parents.What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this Year 1 Teacher role, you will need to have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • An enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain one
  • Evidence of continuing professional development
  • Excellent subject knowledge and pedagogical skills
  • Experience of teaching lower key stage 2 classes
  • A positive and enthusiastic attitude
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
