Where you could work Youll be helping our vulnerable customers as part of Devon Relief Team covering a range of services meaning you won't just be working with the same customers every day. Were looking for you to work across the South Devon region which include our services in Torquay, Exeter and Plymouth. Our services include Devon Enhanced Community Recovery Service in Torquay and Exeter (known to us as DECRS) and our two Ex-Offenders services in Exeter and Plymouth. DECRS provides support to individuals suffering mental ill health and helps them on the road to recovery. The aim of placements in DECRS is to promote independence to the individual and assist them in bettering themselves and moving on to living without the need for support. Our Ex-offenders services provide support to those leaving prison and help them get back on their feet by finding employment, housing and assisting with bill's and rent payment etc. There is lots for you to do and get involved in, from supporting our customers to achieve their hopes and aspirations, working to bespoke care plans. Youll go home each day knowing that youve made an amazing difference to vulnerable peoples lives. How amazing is that! One day you might be helping our customer manage their finance or household tasks, the next you might be off to the seaside for fish and chips! Rest assured that wherever you will be working, we will support you all the way! About youYou thrive both on working with a range of vulnerable customers, who all have different support needs, as well as working with colleagues across different services! Youll be flexible to work at short notice, as youll be the one picking your next shift. The great news is that youll be gaining loads of experience working in different services or locations. But we do need to be a real people person! Though youll have the heart of a Lion, youll sometimes need the skin of a Rhino, however they dont take away from the caring nature you display towards our customers. You may already work with vulnerable adults or have done so in the past, however its not a deal-breaker if you havent. However to be brilliant, we do need you to have a caring attitude and the desire to learn and make a difference! How it worksWorking on our bank, youll be able to pick and choose your shifts - from those available in your area. As busy as you are, you should be able to do this on the go via your mobile device! Whats in it for youAt Home Group our pay rates are based on Living Wage Foundation rate (definitely more than some organisations!) That means youll be paid a fair hourly rate for every hour that you work and your rate even includes a payment towards your holiday pay!
