Joining the IS technical delivery team, youll be responsible for developing Home Groups technical integration solutions. You'll play a key part by defining, developing, testing and implementing cutting edge integrations. These solutions will help Home Group join up our various key systems and help us transition towards a more digitally focussed customer experience. Youll be working with technology such as Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services, Oracle, Azure, API Languages (OpenAPI for example) and much more! About our team Youll be working with our fabulous colleagues in the IT Architecture, IT Engineering and project delivery teams who are passionate about solving Home Groups technical challenges. Youll be working for Matt, our IS Technical Delivery Manager who is a massive football fan (both as an armchair watcher and on the pitch in his weekly 5 a side kickaround). He is also responsible for ensuring that we deliver the IS Services the business needs to succeed, driving continual service improvement and ensuring IS adds real value¦ While you'll report in to Matt, you will have key relationships with a number of key teams in the business. Youll discover that were a diverse bunch from the more thoughtful to the downright outgoing, but we never take ourselves too seriously! Working hours Here at Home Group we believe flexibility works both ways. Our focus is on getting the job done, not your working hours! However there will be times, when you might work from home to concentrate on a particular piece of work. You can elect to fit these around your working day or use your flexi to take the time off. About you This is a very hands on role, so well be looking for you to have significant and proven commercial experience developing software. Our integration needs are varied, so youll have a breadth of exposure to technologies like XML, XQuery, JSON, OpenAPI, SOAP, Windows Server, Docker, Azure. Youll also have worked with relational databases and it would totally especially awesome if youve also worked with iPaaS platform (but that would be the icing on the cake!) You are the critical element, so dont worry if you cant tick every box, well support you wityh amy knowledge gaps. So in addition to the above core technical skills youll also have knowledge of development best practices such as test-driven development and automated testing. Ideally youll have used one of the various Git based tools, but again, dont worry if you havent, we can talk about that as well! As well as building and testing, youll work with our fantastic business teams to understand their requirements and contribute to reusable designs. Your designs and code will be peer reviewed by the team, do not panic, were a friendly bunch! Weve invested heavily in our future and use current and up to date equipment.
