Release and Deployment Manager - Major UK Programme
Working for a global organisation, delivering a large complex solution to a major UK Government Department.
Working within the Programme transition team, the Release Manager is required to work with a multi-discipline, multisite programme team with responsibility for successfully planning and managing delivery of releases to the customer.
This key role within the Transition Team is critical to the success of the programme.The successful candidate will have a number of years experience of working on complex IT hardware and software deployments within a telecomms environment and also have proven capability in driving forward the Release and Deployment Management Function, achieving results quickly in a fast paced, pressurised environment and driving the necessary changes to deliver the service. Key Responsibilities:
The Release Manager will be required to plan and manage all aspects of the end to end release of hardware, software, documentation processes.
Working within the bounds of Release Management policy and process, manage release package sizing, design, building and configuration.
This will include managing and co-coordinating with test and change management teams and proactively identifying and recommending best practice and continuous improvementMinimum Knowledge expected:
- ITIL V3 Foundation Certificate- Either ITIL Lifecycle Certificate in Service Transition OR ITIL Capability Certificate in Release Control and Validation
Based in Rugby with some travel to Basingstoke initially.
