We have a fabulous opportunity for you to join our awesome team. We support our brilliant customers with complex support needs relating to mental health and wellbeing who have experienced difficulty securing or maintaining a tenancy. They live in dispersed properties in the community across Tyneside and Northumberland.
We help our customers by supporting them to live independently, focussing on developing skills to enable them to sustain a tenancy. Our service offers customers the opportunity to improve independence, enabling them to live successfully in the community and achieve their personal aspirations.
When I came to the service I felt very welcomed and comfortable. My property was lovely and I felt supported to set up benefits and I was able to discuss my needs privately with my worker.
About our team
Youâll be working alongside our fabulous team who are super passionate about supporting customers to reach their goals and celebrating their achievements. To us were not just a team weâre a âwork familyâ. Our manager is Sarah, who has 12 yearsâ experience working in supportive roles in a variety of settings. There are 4 of us in the team at the moment and we donât just love to support our customers, weâre there for each other too! As this service is expanding, our team needs to as well. We look forward to welcoming all new members to our regular catch up coffee mornings in the local Starbucks!!! You will be joining the fantastic Andrew, Nicky and Stuart (as well as other new team members) who are an enthusiastic bunch with a vast amount of experience and knowledge, ready to share and support you in your new role.
Ideally you will work Monday to Friday between 9 to 5, but we are open to considering flexible arrangements. We need you to meet the needs of our customers, but we aim to give you the time you need to spend time doing the things that matter to you! Just let us know what your needs are and you can chat them through with Sarah.
Looking for a more flexible working pattern? You can also join us on a flexible basis by being part of our bank. You can work hours that fit around your current commitments or even pick up some additional shifts to your main role to earn some extra cash and get paid on a weekly basis.
As our Housing Concierge you'll play a really important role in supporting the smooth running of our service. You'll get involved in lots of different activities which will include ensuring the service is compliant with all Health and Safety aspects, assisting with void turnarounds and responsible for monitoring repairs and maintenance logs. As housing concierge you will also provide tenancy support in customer's homes, completing regular property checks and in some cases assisting with utility bills.
You will be a single point of contact for lone working staff and will ensure the Lone working policy is adhered to. You may be asked to provide support to colleagues attending customer addresses when double staff working is needed.
We would also like you to be involved in the referral and allocation process assisting with customer assessments and ensuring essential recording systems are updated. To make sure that we keep our records straight, and customers safe, it's really important that you are technology savvy (or at the very least not a technophobe!)
Youâre passionate and motivated to help vulnerable people make positive and lasting changes to their lives. Youâll impress us with your ability to work on your own initiative.
To make sure our customers are well supported, itâs important that you have worked in a Supported Accommodation environment before. Donât worry, we wonât drop you in the deep end, weâll help to you understand how things work at Home Group!
If you are successful, we need you to have an Enhanced Disclosure Check through the Disclosure and Barring Service which weâll pay for.
