Deputy Manager, Supporting adults with learning disabilities, challenging behaviours and complex care.


Your new company
I am recruiting for an experienced Deputy Manager for my client based in Bournemouth. The role is working within a 12-bed residential service supporting adults with Learning Disabilities, Epilepsy and Challenging Behaviours. The role is for 42 hours a week on a rota basis and will mainly involve working on the floor but will also have in office duties so you must be computer literate, with strong communication skills.

Your new role
As a Deputy Manager, you will be responsible for assisting the Registered Manager with the smooth running the home. Your duty of care will not only be to the residents, but also to the team of adults working within the home. You will create positive relationships with the residents meeting their needs and safeguarding them at all times. You will need to provide and build structure, Consistency, and organisation. You will create care plans, setting boundaries and expectations for the young people.

What you'll need to succeed
You will already have experience working as Deputy Manager or as a Senior Support Worker who is looking for the next step up and experience of working with adults with complex care needs is essential. You must hole your Level 3 Health & Social Care Certificate or equivalent. You will be a motivated, flexible and a reliable person who has experience working with high levels of challenging behaviours.
