Apprentice Health and Social Care
Customer Only
Temporary for 12 months, - (with progression opportunities available for successful candidates)
Full Time (37.5hpw)
Salary £4.20 to £7.83 per hour, depending on age (this is reflective of NMW)

Our award winning apprenticeship programme has been designed to get our customers on the career ladder! (How awesome is that!) Don’t be put off by the word apprentice as you can be any age to apply.

So what’s so great about this apprenticeship? Well, your wage will be higher than the national apprenticeship minimum wage, so start planning what to spend that extra cash on! You’ll be employed for a 12 month period to get stacks of experience and launch your career! You’ll start at NVQ level 2 (equivalent to a GCSE) with a possible progression to level 3 (equivalent to A-levels) and many apprentices secure a permanent role with us! Who knows where future you will end up!

About the role                  
You’ll be working with Stacey Anderson, Client Service manager, where you will support a team of colleagues to help our customers successfully achieve the outcomes outlined in their own individual support plans.

You will provide customers with a ‘helping hand’ and assisting with some tasks to develop and maintain basic life skills and live independently.

The Foyer is a fast paced busy service, no two days are the same but the copious amounts of coffee, sweets and cakes that we all share keep us all going. You have to have the heart of a lion, the skin of Rhino and a brilliant sense of humour. With a team of 21 staff across the service there’s  always someone to have a bit banter with while working together to help our customer achieve their aspirations and goals.

Hours of work are typically 9-5.

Who we’re looking for
You can apply for this apprenticeship if you are a current or former Home Group customer.
Ideally you will have good written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills and basic Microsoft Office Skills but before long you’ll be a real whizz!   You be great at working with people as part of a team, but must be able to work independently and use your initiative. You’ll be keen to learn from others how to prioritise and manage your work load, but an eye for detail is important.
