Principal Policy & Project Officer Young Peoples Education & Schools

These are challenging but exciting times for public services. We are looking for a highly motivated person with enthusiasm and ideas to work flexibly in a dynamic, quickly changing policy environment.

Working in the Enterprise, Economy and Skills team, you will be working on education policy covering areas such as SEND, inclusive practice and 14-19 provision. You will have experience of contributing to policy development in education, including the 14 to 19 phase of education, or related policy areas, with a good understanding of local government and its place in a complex policy landscape. 

We are looking for an outstanding candidate who can build effective relationships across sectors, negotiate with and influence a diverse range of people, and who has experience of creative problem solving and managing a varied workload in a pressurised environment.
