Part-time Year 1 Teacher required for 3 days a week ongoing in Prenton on the Wirral

Your new role
We are currently looking for a Part-time Year 1 Teacher to join the dedicated team in a friendly and welcoming primary school in Prenton on the Wirral.
The post is for three days a week, working on a Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, and will be on an ongoing basis over the summer term, starting as soon as possible.

The successful candidate will take an active involvement in planning and delivering high-quality lessons for a Year 1 class. You will work in accordance with the Key Stage 1 curriculum, including phonics, literacy, and numeracy, as well as supporting the social and emotional development of the children in your care. You will also be responsible for assessing the pupils' work and using the results to inform planning.

What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this sought-after Part-time Year 1 teacher position on the Wirral, you will have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • An enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain one
  • Experience of teaching year 1 classes in a primary school setting
  • Excellent knowledge of the Key Stage 1 curriculum, especially phonics and numeracy
  • A positive and enthusiastic attitude and a willingness to learn and grow
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
