Housing Support Coordinators and Housing Support Workers
Positions available in Oxford City, Didcot and Witney.
Permanent contracts available and a maternity cover; Both Full and Part Time Hours available too! (How brilliant is that!)
Salary starts at £17,110 to £19,200 per annum for Housing Support Workers and £17,600 to £23,500 per annum for Housing Support Coordinators.
To work for us on a casual basis you'll be paid from £8.75 per hour with holiday pay on top!

You will be offering housing support to young people and young families (aged 16-24) throughout are range of services, who might be at risk of homelessness or leaving formal care arrangements. You will support our customers to come into our service and live with us for as long as they need or until they are 24.  While they live with us, you will support them to find work or gain a qualification to help them move on. How proud will that make you? You will also teach them how to manage their tenancies and support them with any other individual needs they may have.

We are looking for several Housing Support Coordinators and Housing Support Workers (known internally as Support Coordinators – level 3 and Support Workers – level 2) within Oxford City, Didcot and Witney. You will flexible and happy to work on a rota basis, covering both morning, evenings and weekends. We sometimes need you to travel between our properties so it would be great if you could drive however this is not essential as you can get there by public transport too! What even better is we will cover the costs for either!  You will find days working in the Young Peoples Pathway challenging but it is also very rewarding, particularly when you get to see young people make the positive changes in their lives that lead them to live successfully and independently in the greater community.

While you will mainly work with either young families or young singles, you will also have to be adaptable to work with and support your colleagues in the other services. (We are very supportive of each other!) You will manage a caseload of customers, working closely with external agencies and our amazing team of Support Workers in delivering person centred support. As a Housing Support Coordinator you will also guide and allocate tasks to our Support Workers too.  We know that one size doesn’t fit all, so our customers lead their own support every step of the way. Together you will really make a difference, empowering our customers to achieve their goals and aspirations as outlined in their support plans and develop the independent living skills they need to successfully move on with a positive future.

It’s really important to us that you have time to what you are really passionate about; making a real difference to our customers lives.  So to free up your time, you’ll be given the latest IT kit, which could include a Surface Pro tablet and smart phone, supported by our new online integrated IT system which means that you don’t have to be in the office as you can complete support plans on the go.  You’ll also be paid between customers visit and for your mileage too.  

Any offer of employment will be subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure, but the good news is that we will be paying for it!  

A bit about you
You will need to know how to help shape our services, undertake risk assessments, support planning, goal setting and regular reviews. You will be confident working in holistic way building partnerships with external agencies. It’s also really important that you have strong IT skills too.
