Council Members

The General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) is the independent regulator for pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and pharmacy premises in Great Britain. Our main job is to protect, promote and maintain the health and safety of the public by upholding standards and public trust in pharmacy.

There is an exciting opportunity for five members to join our governing council. We are looking for three registered pharmacy professionals and two lay or non-health professional members, who will bring a new perspective to the organisation. We are looking for individuals who can demonstrate high levels of integrity, objectivity and fairness and an ability to look forward and see the bigger picture. The ability to work effectively in a team and hold others to account in a constructive and open manner will be essential.

We value diversity and wish to promote it on our Council. We welcome applications from all sections of the community. The GPhC offers reasonable expenses for childcare.
