Do you want to help Londons boroughs to support some of the capitals most vulnerable children? Working in the London Care Services Team at London Councils, you will be helping our local authorities to provide the best care and support for looked after children.
We want to recruit someone with strong negotiating and influencing skills, and the ability to work to a demanding schedule.
A keen eye for detail, the ability to understand and explain contract documentation, intermediate-to-advanced Excel skills and a talent for working with people are essential. Experience of social care and/or commissioning of services in the public sector would be beneficial, although not essential.
The main purpose of the job is to ensure quality residential and fostering care services are available to Londons boroughs to secure placements for children in their care. This includes negotiation of prices and completion of contract documentation for those services.
