Lay Member role for Audit & Governance
NHS Lewisham Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) has an exciting opportunity for a Lay Member to play an important part in governing and developing the CCG.
The CCG is a membership organisation made up of all Lewishams GP practices. We commission healthcare for the people who are registered, live or work in the borough. We are responsible for spending more £400m each year on hospital and community-health services for our patients in a way that ensures the most effective services available to them.
You will be a member of the Governing Body team, and taking a strategic and impartial perspective, your role will be to oversee key elements of organisational governance including audit, remuneration and managing conflicts of interest. You will need to be able to chair the audit committee.
The time commitment is 5 days per month and the remuneration is £16,420 per annum (subject to review). Some time commitment may be required in the evenings. Candidates should live and / or work in the Borough of Lewisham, or otherwise have a strong connection with the borough.
