Chief Financial Officer

Reporting directly to the Vice-Chancellor and working very closely with senior post holders as an executive member of the Vice-Chancellor's Group, the Chief Financial Officer will lead on and deliver the Finance Strategy for the University to ensure financial stability, efficient and effective financial processes and alignment of plans with operations.

In this new post, you will provide insightful strategic analysis of financial and other strategic performance data, ensuring that robust financial controls are in place to control costs appropriately across the University.  You will build effective, reciprocal relationships and networks with key stakeholders and provide inspiring and innovative leadership for staff across the Finance and Planning teams.

The Chief Financial Officer will be an experienced Finance professional with the strategic, operational and leadership capabilities to provide excellent financial guidance as the University develops into the future. The ideal candidate will be a fully qualified Accountant with significant experience of operating effectively at board or equivalent level requiring first-class communications and a sound understanding and awareness of current direction and policy in the higher education sector. The salary offered will be competitive in line with the seniority of the post and the experience of the successful candidate.
