Fortis Living Group Better Homes, Better Lives!

Fortis Living and Waterloo Housing Group are joining together on 1st October 2018 to form a new not-for-profit housing group. The new Housing Group will own and manage around 45,000 homes and look after 120,000 customers across the Midlands and Central England. Fortis Property Care our core contracting and maintenance arm will continue to provide and grow its range of services across this geographic spread from its local base in Worcester. The exponential growth of our maintenance services is key as we also expand our housing stock across our significant geographical area. You will need to shape services to meet the demands of a range of client teams and have the commercial acumen to identify internal and external opportunities to grow the business. Our plan is to grow the turnover of Fortis Property Care to £50m over the next 5 years.

At front and centre of this role is your ability to lead and develop a best in class commercial contracting service utilising efficiency and quality to promote sustainable growth and exemplar standards. As a visible and high-profile Group Director you will lead, influence and shape our building maintenance company strategy. As you might expect though, there is also an unrelenting focus on our customers and to provide improved stakeholder satisfaction and community benefit. This role is also an integral part of our newly formed corporate leadership team and supports and informs the independent Company Board. As such you will be an experienced business leader capable of inspiring our people to deliver exceptional customer service, continuously seeking to improve our performance and develop strong stakeholder trust and confidence. This is an exciting time to join our Group supporting our corporate and strategic change and importantly adding lasting social value to our customers.

You will possess a demonstrable and exceptional track record of successfully operating in a contracting environment with an awareness of the needs of the social housing environment in housing or a related sector. You will have the ability to lead an autonomous business partnership and trading division, excellent leadership skills and a willingness to support creativity and a passion for developing people. Equally important, are all round communication skills and a drive to support our cultural change, operational framework and harmonisation to help move our corporate agenda forward. You will be determined, highly professional, and totally aligned with our values.  In return we offer the opportunity to join a great organisation with a highly committed Board and a team that is making a significant impact across the communities we serve.
