About Our Client

My client is a UK-based real estate company which sources, structures and manages accommodation portfolios across the UK. Since its inception in 2012 they have grown significantly, now managing a substantial holding within the market and are set to invest in a healthy pipeline of projects for the future.

They have recently doubled their office space due to an intake of staff and to support their expansion plans.

Job Description

• Preparation/assistance with management accounts (inc. income statements, balance sheets and cashflow statements)

• Processing of month end and other ad hoc journals

• Assistance with preparation of budgets

• Assistance with preparation of statutory accounts and year end audits

• Preparation of ad hoc internal reports as and when required

• Preparation of VAT returns

• Preparation and reconciliation of bank accounts

• Inputting electronic bank payments

• Posting sales and purchase invoices

• Raising sales invoices and chasing debts

• Liaising with external partners in respect of their management services

• Internal spreadsheet maintenance

• Assistance in the preparation of investor reporting and investment statements

The Successful Applicant

• Professional finance qualification - gained from a public practice

• ~2-3 years post qualification experience

• Property sector exposure desirable

• Smart and professional - client facing role at times

• Good sense of humour - comfortable working in a small office environment

• Excellent knowledge of Excel

• Working knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping packages

• Sage 50 experience an advantage
