Job Description

The Department of Creative & Digital Technologies is dynamic and entrepreneurial, with an excellent record in the National Student Survey. Our subject areas cover Media, Film & 3D Animation & VFX, with a particular focus on workflow across creative content production for Film, TV, Games, Animation, Sport and Advertising. We will be based in our new GBP 35 million Tech Park building which opens to students in September 2018.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with extensive industry experience and a passion for Higher Education, to deliver on this new subject area due for launch in September 2018.  The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and delivering a number of Visual Effects modules to students primarily on our 3D Animation & VFX course but also across other programmes of study where necessary.

Candidates should have contemporary relevant industry experience and/or a good relevant first degree, with professional or academic qualifications at doctoral level and an in-depth understanding of Animation & VFX creative and technical processes, primarily back end (lighting, paint, roto, compositing, etc) to assist with course content design.  You will also have experience of leading animation teams and an awareness of the current industry requirements in regards to graduate skills development.
