Job Description
We currently have an opportunity for an enthusiastic and proactive individual to join the Post Production team on Hollyoaks. This is an entry level position, ideally suited to someone with some experience of the post production process and the willingness to learn on the job. Key duties of the role will include: ingesting and data-basing rushes, assisting editors/dubbing mixers and using Avid Media Composer to create & export different versions of Hollyoaks, including final deliveries.
Required Skills and Knowledge
Essential:
An interest in and understanding of both production & post production processes, as well as file based media formats, creation and delivery
Experience in using AVID Media Composer
High attention to detail
Experience of administration duties and evidence of computer literacy
Ability to work unsupervised, with excellent time management and flexibility to ensure the consistent delivery of a high quality service within the deadlines and demands of Television and Broadcast Production
Experience of working as part of a team and the willingness to help and to go the extra mile
Excellent interpersonal skills to ensure effective communication with staff across all aspects of production
Ability to work under pressure to structured deadlines as well as using own initiative to solve problems quickly
Professional and confidential approach
Desirable:
Media related degree or NVQ level 3 (or higher) qualification
Experience working in post production
An interest in and eagerness to Edit short promos / clips
Clean driving licence
Contract: Fixed term 3 months with possible extension
Location: Liverpool
