Job Description

17 month fixed-term contract, 35 hours per week (open to job-share) Based at Congress House, London WC1B 3LS Can you make working peoples stories come alive? The TUC is looking for a brilliant writer and blogger to tell our stories and get our campaigns noticed. Youll be writing regularly sometimes blogs, sometimes webpages, sometimes opinion pieces for print. Youll be able to adapt how you write to your audience, get on top of new topics quickly and make sure the TUCs views are heard even when things are changing fast. Youll champion great writing in the TUC, help make others writing better and make our blogs must-reads for everyone who cares about the world of work. Were looking for a bright, talented new colleague whos able to get their head round our issues quickly and is committed to making work better for everyone. Youll have experience in blogging, social media and writing for publication. And youll know your way around a website content management system, as well as web accessibility and SEO. Youll be joining a campaigns and comms department that runs a number of high-profile campaigns every year, secures extensive media coverage for our priorities and supports our general secretary Frances OGrady to put working people at the heart of the political debate.
