Head of Research

Our long running, award winning drama Hollyoaks is recruiting for a Head of Research to lead and manage the Research team. We are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible and proactive individual who can provide creative solutions to enable the story team to deliver their narrative as well as ensuring factual accuracy and legal compliance. The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of editorial and production processes, the ability to establish effective working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders and experience of managing a team. Key responsibilties: Provide up to date information regarding legislation and regulations (legal, compliance, copyright) Complete all checks and written briefing notes for Script Editors Provide creative solutions to any research problems which might otherwise prevent the script/story teams from telling the narratives they want to Contribute towards commissioning and story conference Brief story team on factual accuracy as appropriate, to storylines Ad hoc requests relating to research needs of the production Required skills & experience: Proven successful experience within a television drama environment Highly developed interpersonal skills, sufficient to establish and maintain credibility and effective working relationships with a variety of internal and external contacts Excellent communication skills Experience of effective team management with the ability to lead, motivate and nurture Excellent organisational skills with the ability to plan and prioritise work load and meet strict deadlines Ability to consider the wider picture and think laterally Excellent team player Good IT skills Professional and confidential Positive can-do attitude Interested applicants should apply by sending a covering letter and CV to recruitment@limepictures.com by 9th February 2018.
