Job Description

Salary: £32,360 £37,365 per annum / pro rata (Inc. LW) Location: The Printworks, London Hours/days per week: 21 hours / 3 days per week Contract: Fixed Term Contract until end of December 2018 Closing date: 23:59 on Tuesday 30 January 2018 Interview date: Wednesday 7 - Friday 9 February 2018 As one of three international coordinators of Friends of the Earth Internationals Climate Justice and Energy programme, you will be at the heart of the worlds largest grassroots environmental justice federation. Your role will be to facilitate a diverse set of campaigners from our 75 national member groups to plan and implement programme activities around fighting dirty energy, and promoting just solutions to the climate crisis. Youll need to be a politically astute campaigner with strong strategic, tactical and networking skills. An excellent facilitator, with a track record of working effectively in global alliances with cross-cultural understanding, you must be a committed team player and an excellent communicator with varied global audiences, from activists and policy specialists to the media and decision-makers. Possessing a good understanding of alliance building, movement building and mobilising, youll have experience of working across complex teams to plan events, to develop communications products and to create resources. Experience of reporting back to funding and governance structures and knowledge of Spanish or French would be highly desirable. Collaborative working and good organisation skills will be second nature to you and experience of working in a multi-cultural decentralized structure with collective decision making is highly desirable. This role is a job-share with another UK based coordinator, with a 3rd coordinator based overseas and the ability and willingness to travel internationally regularly and to work evenings and weekends on occasion is essential for this role.
