We are developing a new vision for 2024, 50 years since we were formed as a local authority, and following an organisational restructure, led by the new Chief Executive, Calderdale Council is seeking to advertise the following posts: Director of Public Services Assistant Director (Economy, Housing and Investment) These two roles will play a pivotal part in leading a hugely ambitious Council, determined to redefine the role of public services within our place and with our communities. The Director role is a new post involving you leading the delivery of the key frontline universal services of the Council, ensuring a resident first approach, redesigning services to reduce inequalities, and building a sustainable future. But this role isnt just about service delivery, we are looking for a creative public service leader, able to utilise all the resources of the place. We were the first Council in the country to implement Live Chat 24/7, and we have a new digital strategy defining digital as what we are, not what we do. You will be a system thinker able to operate both strategically, whilst also being able to respond to detail in a political environment. The Assistant Director is a new post, reflecting our ambition to drive forward inclusive growth, housing delivery and external investment into Calderdale. We are a borough of enterprise with resilient and creative businesses, founded on two hundred years of industry, with emerging digital capabilities putting us at the leading edge across all sectors. We have just established a housing delivery vehicle and a formal partnership agreement with our social housing provider enabling a rapid increase in housing supply.
