This hugely exciting and challenging role will lead and inspire teams of staff delivering across all behaviour change and infrastructure programmes in London to make it easier for people to walk and cycle, working with the London Director to develop the vision and shape the overall strategic direction for Sustrans in the Capital. You will also build on relationships with both current and potential partners to maintain and diversity programme delivery, Sustrans project portfolio and sources of funding. Educated to degree level or equivalent, you will have experience in strategic planning and leadership, programme management at a senior level and project management, including budgets and deadlines. You will have experience of negotiating with funders and politicians and of partnership working. You will also have proven experience of leading, managing, motivating and developing a team. Your ability to demonstrate strategic thinking and develop clear plans for project delivery will enhance your strong leadership skills and your ability to develop highly effective working relationships. You will have a comprehensive understanding of behaviour change and marketing programmes and of the key priorities of the Mayors Transport Strategy.
