Hourly paid up to £40.75 per hour Fixed-term contract from September 2017
The Dance Department at the University of Chichester is seeking to recruit Associate Lecturers with dance practitioner/performance experience to deliver contemporary technique or other codified dance techniques. We are also seeking to recruit an Associate Lecturer with relevant knowledge of contextual dance studies with a specialism in theory and practice.
These posts will be on a temporary fixed term basis and will contribute to modules such as Dance Technique, Performance Techniques, Dance Landscapes and Thinking Through Dance.
These positions will be contributing to the University's undergraduate degree routes. The programmes adopt a student centric approach to learning and teaching and successful candidates will have experience of delivering high quality, interactive teaching or training activities in Dance. The BA Dance programme has consistently scored very highly in the NSS and the University was recently awarded a Silver in the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF).
Candidates should have appropriate teaching/or equivalent professional qualifications and experience, and have recent relevant teaching/practical experience. You will also need to possess a comprehensive subject knowledge and have experience of marking written and practical assessments.
