Are you still seeking your first step on the Graduate "employment ladder", and want to earn while you learn?! We are seeking a Graduate Assistant who wants to gain their first experience of working within our joint honours in musical theatre team.  The role provides an excellent opportunity to gain valuable working knowledge and experience of musical theatre environment and work within a large multi-disciplinary team based at the Chichester campus. The University is committed to supporting the post-holder through a variety of training and development opportunities including on the job training, and in-house and external courses. You'll be given real work to do - that way you'll get the kind of professional experience that will stand you in good stead for the future. You will need to be a self-starter who is able to interact with individuals at all levels, personable and willing to turn your hand to a variety of work.  Under the guidance of a Senior Lecturer, you will assist in providing the efficient coordination of a wide range of administrative and technical skills including administration, diary and event management for shows and performances and shadowing/assisting in the teaching of practical sessions. The post holder will be a graduate of the University of Chichester and will have recently completed their degree. The role provides an excellent opportunity for the graduate to gain valuable working knowledge and experience whilst at the same time be supported through relevant professional training and development. You must have a relevant degree which includes a broad knowledge of musical theatre repertoire,backstage and technical crafts. There can be some flexibility in working hours to accommodate applicants' existing commitments but some weekends and evenings, especially during performance periods, will be required.  This is a one year fixed term contract to commence in September 2017 for 18.5 hours per week.
