Job Description

We are currently seeking a part time technician to work 18.5 hours per week. Working for the Department of Adventure Education within the Institute of Sport and Exercise Sciences you will be working on a temporary basis for up to 12 months to cover a period of maternity leave. Primarily supporting the Adventure Education programs, OAA Physical Education module and Adventure Sports Coaching module, you will also provide support as required across the wider sport provision, for example within SARC. You will be required to support residential excursions, provide support to student dissertations and staff research, issue and monitor equipment and maintain, service and clean equipment. To be successful in your application for the role you will have a basic understanding of adventure equipment maintenance, have a helpful attitude and a flexible approach to your work. It would also be desirable for you to have some recent experience working in a customer focused environment and be proficient in the use of Microsoft applications.
