Job Description
This advert is for a part-time role - 3 hours a week, 40 weeks of the year. This is based on one evening per peek during term time.
The Student Wellbeing Adviser - PGCE Specialist Link will provide initial help and support for students and to refer students, where appropriate, to other members of Student Support and Wellbeing team or external agencies, being aware of legal, ethical and health implications.
Empathetic, with excellent interpersonal skills and an understanding of the pressures facing PGCE students, you will offer specialist Student Wellbeing Adviser Support to PGCE Students and act as a course link for the Education Department. You will also develop and maintain close and effective links with key staff within the Student Support and Wellbeing team, liaising with a range of relevant staff both within the University and outside organisations.
With excellent organisational skills, the successful applicants will need to maintain confidential case notes for students as well as provide supporting evidence for mitigating circumstances, in consultation with Senior Student Wellbeing Adviser and registered professionals.
Based mainly at our Bognor Regis Campus, this role is for 3 hours per week, during school term-time, one evening per week. Additional hours may be required to attend occasional meetings or to provide further cover for which payment or time-off-in-lieu will be received.
