Job Description

The Care Forum is seeking a number of dynamic individuals to join its team of staff. Successful candidates will need to bring an experience of working in the voluntary, health, social care or charity sector with a commitment to tackling health inequalities and promoting diversity. Based at the Vassall Centre in Fishponds, Bristol with offices in Somerset and Swindon, The Care Forum is a charity which specialises in health and social care, including the delivery of services to individuals, signposting and information, patient and public involvement, volunteer opportunities and voluntary sector infrastructure support. The posts being recruited are: Healthwatch Bristol Team Manager ? 37 hours per week ? NJC: 28-32 24, 964 - 28,485 ? interview 15 June 2017 ? To plan, manage and develop the Healthwatch Bristol project and be responsible for the successful delivery of the contract ? To manage and deploy the allocated resources, including a team of paid staff and volunteers, for the delivery of the workplan. ? To represent Healthwatch Bristol and The Care Forum in a variety of settings and to build influential relationships with service providers and commissioners to improve services for Bristol residents. Business Support Co-ordinator (Quality Assurance) 22.5 hours per week- NJC: 28-32 24,964 - 28,485 pro rata - interview 6 May ? Working within the Corporate Services team, with a lead on enhancing and improving the implementation of the quality assurance systems and processes of The Care Forum across all teams by developing capacity and good practice within those teams. ? The postholder will train and develop staff to quality assure activities including Volunteering, Equality and Diversity, Service Delivery and Administration. Voluntary Sector Services Engagement Worker ? 22.5 hours per week ? NJC:24-28 21,962 - 24,964 pro rata - Interview 16 June 2017 ? To work proactively to support the involvement of local voluntary and community sector organisations in the delivery, development and planning of health and social care services in South Gloucestershire. Advocate ? 18.5 hours per week ? NJC: 24-28 21,962 - 24,964 pro rata ? Interview 13 June 2017 ? To provide a Complaints Procedure Advocacy (CPA) service to residents of Bristol and BANES by delivering direct advocacy casework to clients, and supporting volunteer advocates. Communications Administrator ? 30 hours per week ? NJC:18-22 - 18,070 ? 20,661 pro rata - Interview 8 June 2017 ? To deliver a client facing service for the Well Aware online database, AVoice triage and BAB First Contact project by; ? Signposting public, practitioner, stakeholder and volunteer enquiries to appropriate local support services, via email and telephone, ? Developing, maintaining and marketing the Well Aware database and website content and ensuring that information is proactively collected and kept up to date, ? Processing BAB First Contact checklists ? Triaging all new requests for TCF advocacy services. Information and Systems Administrator ? 19 hours per week- NJC:18-22 18070 - 20661 pro rata - Interview 14 June ? To contribute to the development, design and maintenance of office records and administrative systems and procedures that will enable The Care Forum to work effectively. ? To be the front line for The Care Forum answering calls and welcoming clients and visitors. ? To maintain internal administrative systems at The Care Forum, including its database, website and social media accounts.
