Strategic Commercial Business Partner (Finance) Salary: starting at 45,242 rising to 47,561 after 12 months (pending successful 6 month probation) Are you a dynamic, strategic thinker with a keen interest in developing a sound knowledge of Nottingham City Council and securing the best outcomes for our customers? This role promises to give the postholder the freedom to provide insight, deliver efficiency and be a dynamic contributor to business transformation as we move towards a more commercially focussed business. The Role We are seeking an experienced financial expert who has the ability to lead & drive the organisation forward in a fast changing environment. You will be experienced in forging collaborative working relationships with the business and external organisations and have strong influencing; communications and stakeholder management skills. The post holder will work, directly with or through their team, with departments influencing strategy and business outcomes, providing guidance, challenge and expert analysis on decisions and future opportunities presented to the organisation. You will be able to manage a diverse and busy workload, ranging from the challenges, changes and demands required from the Council and working with our partners and external organisations in a regional and national context. To do this role, you will need to have a keen mind for understanding, challenging and seeking the best outcomes for all stakeholders. The role will also involve managing and developing a team of Commercial Finance Business Partners and previous local government experience is not essential.
