Job Description

Wales TUC (Ref: OSD/02/17) Grade 7 38,534 per annum rising incrementally to 40,092 Initially a two year fixed term contract with potential for renewal subject to funding (secondments considered) 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday Based in Cardiff CF11 9SD This exciting and varied role includes policy development, campaigning and media work. The post holder will assist the Wales TUC General Secretary on public sector policy and activity including; supporting the Wales TUC Conference and General Council, co-ordinating union input for social partnership arrangements, drafting Wales TUC input to Welsh government consultations and producing briefings for Assembly Members, unions and the public. We?re therefore looking for someone who can demonstrate that they meet the following criteria: - Policy development in areas devolved to the Welsh Government - Campaigns and events organisation in the context of Welsh devolution - Excellent organisation, planning and time management skills - Good knowledge and understanding of public sector policy and practice in Wales - A positive, proactive and flexible team member If you feel this is the job for you, we?d like to hear from you.
