Salary: 24,708-31,000 inc. London weighting 3,570 per annum pro rata Location: London Hours/days per week: 28 hours / 4 days per week / 0.8FTE Contract: One year fixed term contract (sabbatical cover, ideally start 20 February 2017) Skype interview available: Yes Closing date: 24 November 9am Interview date: 29 November Purpose of the Role We are looking for someone, in particular, - someone with a certain je ne sais quoi if you will. You will be friendly, enthusiastic and impossibly creative. You will thrive on the cycle of; Inspire, Create, Repeat. Our ideal candidate will have expert knowledge in the software, and other tools used to bring ideas to life and the aesthetic sensibilities to do it with a deep beauty. They will think about creative ways to solve old problems, too! This role will be to cover another employee whilst they are on sabbatical so we would ideally like you to start with us on Monday 20 February 2017 to allow for a handover period. Inspire, Create and Repeat As a brilliant inspiring and impossibly talented Graphic Designer, you will be a multi-talented creative individual, have expert knowledge in software and the tools required to bring great ideas to life in an array of visual forms that will not only excite, but also raise the profile of our many campaigns. Whatever your background, it?s your attitude, ideas and open-mindedness to create, up to date exceptional work that we are looking for. Main Responsibilities Working directly with the Creative Lead you will come up with innovative and bold ideas in line with current trends, a serious and out there creative, you will set the bar high. We want you to inspire others in our team and across our organisation. The projects you work on and the briefs you will develop will be a real mix across film, digital, online, some print and marketing materials for our events. A natural talent, you?ll have a strong portfolio, and excellent scheduling and project management skills, you?ll be able to work within budgets inline with client expectations. Your skills will include Adobe CC, the ability to create proto-types and contribute to the development of minimum viable products (MVP), digital and print design and at least one aspect of filmmaking, storyboarding, photography, character directing and editing. Some knowledge and experience in film editing, and small scale fabrication such as 3D printing , laser cutting and computer controlled machine tools as well as scrum are desirable. But it is key that you champion excellence in creative thinking and world-class creative doing. Have experience making really great videos Have done something creatively unusual or unique (Your own project or key member in project team) Work on personal art projects Have been a part of courses/projects that have helped develop your self-awareness and the awareness of others. Can create compelling storyboards About the Team Our creative team is currently is transforming. We have a new Creative Lead who has recently joined the team. This also coincides with a transformation in the organisation as a whole, with a new organisational strategy. We are creating something new and would love you to be a part of it. Besides that, you will be one of two senior designers alongside our Creative Lead and have the support of at least one Junior Designer/Artworker.
