Design Assistant

1 Year Fixed Term Contract We are looking for a proactive and self-motivated Design Assistant to work within our Development Design Team to contribute to an effective design function for the wider Development Team. This is a supporting role involving work on projects between RIBA stages 0-7 as well as assisting the team in providing specialist architectural/urban design advice for the organisation. This is a busy and involved role and will give the successful candidate the opportunity to work on design briefs, design proposals, feasibility studies and prepare maps, drawings and plans for our exciting portfolio of development and regeneration projects. To apply for this role you will need to have a relevant degree and have some experience of contributing to the delivery of projects through RIBA stages 0-7. You will also have demonstrable knowledge of best practice urban design and the principles of development as well as excellent freehand and computer drafting skills, excellent mapping skills and the ability to interpret drawings and technical information. You must be highly numerate and computer literate and have exceptional verbal and written skills.
