Business development manager - nuclear sector - warrrington / westlakes / hybrid role

Your new company
As the business development manager, you will be working for an international consultancy that provides its customers with very high added-value solutions, products, technologies and services across six principal Business Units, including Mining, Chemistry and Enrichment, Recycling, Decommissioning and Services, Nuclear Packages and Services, and Projects.
It s services range from Operational Support Engineering to full Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Management (EPCM) missions.

  • A team of 1,500 professionals worldwide,
  • On the nuclear fuel cycle; mining, uranium chemistry, enrichment, spent fuel recycling, dismantling and waste management.
  • Including Non-fuel cycle Nuclear Engineering, New Builds, and other non-nuclear applications,
  • Embodies more than 50 years' experience in the design, construction and operation of one-of-a-kind facilities.
  • Your new role
  • Lead the development of the short- and medium-term key account and business development strategies for specific client accounts.
  • Support the Head of Business Development to develop and maintain a contact programme with senior staff within client and partner organisations. Maintain regular contact with existing future potential customers.
  • Develop Account Plans, Opportunity Capture Plans and Value Propositions.
  • Support the Head of Business Development with developing Order Intake forecasts and budgets.
  • Work within a governance framework to secure approval to pursue opportunities and to bid, including presenting details of opportunities.
  • Anticipate new opportunities and support tendering activities by providing market intelligence to bids teams, or sometimes direct technical input or review.
  • Keep track of market developments amongst clients, competitors, and suppliers, and look for opportunities to facilitate the growth of the UK nuclear industry.
  • Capture information in a structured manner to facilitate sharing.
  • Interface collaboratively within the business winning team, including marketing & communications and tendering, and with the wider business including technical disciplines and functions, in the UK and abroad.

    What you'll need to succeed
    - Has worked within the nuclear sector and can show evidence of successful previous Key Accounts and New Business Development. Preferably at least 10 years' relevant experience. - Has an extensive network of contacts in both customer and client organisations, and organisations within the associated nuclear supply chain. This should include senior contacts.
    - Has a broad understanding of activities across the UK nuclear market with specific knowledge of the sites / companies associated with the NDA estate, nuclear defence, new build, SMRs/AMRs or fusion.
    - Leadership - desire to lead and support the development of more junior members of the team.
