Purpose of Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Junior Designer/Artworker to join our busy, friendly Creative Communications team in London. This is a fixed term 3 month contract and youll be supporting our 2 Senior Designers on a wide range of materials from print to digital, all of which are essential in our major campaigns to protect the environment - these include Clean Air, Fracking, Bees, Climate Change and nature.
Main Responsibilities
Creating print ready artwork , amending existing artwork and creating new designs to a brief and which adhere to our brand guidelines.
Developing posters, leaflets, banners, flyers, brochures, direct mail, magazines, local group support materials, social media and digital assets.
Key Skills and Attributes
We are looking for a Junior Designer/Artworker who:
Has proven design and Mac skills plus a graphic design qualification ideally a degree
Has a minimum of 18 months experience in an agency or in-house team
Is highly proficient in In-Design/Photoshop/Illustrator
Has knowledge of other Adobe CS suite of programmes
Can work to a brief and a deadline
Can work to existing brand guidelines
Can manage workflow effectively
Is a highly creative designer
Ideally has some print buying experience and a knowledge of issues facing the environment
About the Team
The Creative Communications teams sits in the wider Friends of the Earth Communications department and offers the organisation design, conceptual, photographic and film support across the major campaigns and to support the organisational objectives of the charity. We produce a wide range of different material, so one day you may be creating a banner for a march or action, the next day a flyer for an event and day after that some social media visuals in an exciting, dynamic environment, for instance.
