Senior Corporate Fundraising Officer

Purpose of the Role We are looking for a fundraiser to maximise Friends of the Earth�s Corporate Fundraising Strategy with a focus on account management and relationship cultivation, in collaboration with Friends of the Earths campaigns to protect people and the planet. Main Responsibilities Corporate fundraising is a relatively new income stream for Friends of the Earth with a strict code around working with purpose driven businesses that enhance our vision for a better planet. This will include a key focus on managing the current portfolio of businesses; including our flagship partnerships with People�s Postcode Lottery and Good Energy, our corporate affiliate marketing scheme, gifts in kind, sponsorship and our network of small to medium businesses. With the increase in purpose driven businesses (e.g. B-corps) there is also potential for income growth from corporate partnerships so this post holder will need to be a self-starter who enjoys hunting out an opportunity. Whilst this post sit�s within the Major Partnerships fundraising team, the post holder will also form part of Friend of the Earth�s strategic business unit working with the campaigns teams to fulfil our vision of a world where businesses have a social purpose. A key element of the post holder�s role will be managing the corporate fundraising income and expenditure budget (target of �300k in 2016/17) through accurate forecasting and recording of income and expenditure. They will also be responsible for liaising with campaigns teams to explore and leverage any opportunities for corporate support including corporate foundation applications. Key Skills and Attributes Experience of expert account management to maximise income. Ability to manage and deliver income/expenditure targets and deliver on agreed. Strategies Confidence to negotiate whilst effectively managing expectations. Understanding of creating/ implementing bespoke partnership and communications plans for corporate supporters. Passion for hunting out new opportunities for income generation through corporate partnerships. About the Team Major Partnerships sits within the Friends of the Earth Engagement Directorate, to raise funds from a major donors, legacies, trusts, foundations and purpose driven businesses. There are 8 members of the team including this new role.
