Volunteering Officer

Salary: �7,460 actual per annum Hours: 14 per week Contract type: Permanent Interview date: w/c 21 March 2016 exact date TBC Alzheimer�s Society is the UK�s leading support and research charity for people with dementia, their families and carers. There are 850,000 people with dementia in the UK and numbers are set to rise to over 1 million by 2025. Based in our Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland office, the volunteering officer will support the work of our large county memory support service. The volunteering officer role will play a vital role, responsible for all aspects of volunteering, including the co�ordination, recruitment, induction, support and training of volunteers, adhering to the Society�s volunteering policies. We are looking for an individual who has experience in working with volunteers, particularly in providing a recruitment programme to attract volunteers to the work of the Alzheimer�s Society in the locality. You will possess NVQ level 2 (or equivalent) or demonstrable experience. It is also desirable that you have experience of working with statutory and voluntary agencies. If you are an exceptional communicator and have experience of effectively managing and motivating volunteers then would like to hear from you.
