East London Closing date: 29th September 2015 A dynamic, friendly and innovative care and support business known for its life-changing services is looking for an influential and commercially savvy Learning Disabilities Contract Manager who can get the best out of colleagues as they help drive forward an organisation that shapes brighter futures. We've been helping people across London and the South East for almost 40 years, and those with learning disabilities for over 25 years, and have ambitious plans to expand our services. We support customers with moderate to severe learning disabilities, and those with additional complex needs providing care homes, supported housing services and floating and visiting support services. We're proud of our person-centred approach, which empowers our customers to become active, integrated members of their communities. As our charismatic Learning Disabilities Contract Manager you'll be a passionate advocate for and key driver of our work in this area, as you help cement Look Ahead's reputation for well regarded, great value services. You'll carry client group specialism responsibilities, linking with other managers and Heads of Operations to ensure the focused integration of specialisms across the organisation. In addition, you'll take charge of all contracts within your designated patch, leading and developing frontline staff, while encouraging continuous improvement and a positive local culture. This pivotal role represents an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual to champion elderly services and make their mark, as they drive improvements to our CQC ratings, lead on business planning activities, ensure relevant and challenging objective setting and performance tracking, prepare and manage budgets, and meet financial targets. What youll need: Significant expertise in the area of learning disabilities. To be educated to degree level, or equivalent. A relevant CMI / NVQ Level 4 or similar business management qualification and / or pertinent professional memberships or specialist qualifications. Three years' relevant management experience. An aptitude for customer relationships management, and evidence of facilitating both performance development and business growth. Strong negotiating and budgeting skills. A natural born leader, you'll help realise the potential of staff, forging and strengthening relationships with both internal and external contacts, devising and implementing creative plans, while ensuring the compliance and ongoing improvement of Look Ahead's Learning Disabilities services.
