Dual Fuel or Three Phase Electric Metering Technician

We are offering a permanent position as a Dual Fuel or Three Phase Electric Meter Technician. Working a standard 37 hour week, with the opportunity of overtime and call out. Visiting residential and commercial properties to carry out installations and repairs, every day will be different. The working day for this role is 8am to 3.55pm, but you�ll need to undertake travel before you start and after you finish. Qualifications Essential: - Single phase qualified to Electric Metering Technician level. - Hold the following valid qualifications: Gas ACS CCN1 or CMA1 and either MET1 or MET2 or be three phase qualified to electric meter technician level. If you aren�t gas qualified you must be willing to attain gas qualifications. - Hold or have held a MOCOPA (Meter Operation Code of Practice Agreement) qualification or equivalent. - Hold valid authorisation to work on the distribution network. - Good customer service skills and the ability communicate with all customers (because you�ll be going into customers� homes, a Criminal Records Bureau check will be carried out). - A flexible approach, especially when it comes to working away from home if you need to. - Flexible with travel and able to work on a multi-regional basis where required - A full UK driving licence (preferably clean), with a maximum of 6 points, is essential. - Understand any regulations, policies and processes which relate to the job role and provide fair outcomes when giving service to our customers. - To live within a Chester CH postcode area or be willing to relocate to one of these postcode areas at your own cost. - Must be able to commence employment on 7 September 2015. Desirable: - Plenty of self-motivation, and the ability to work with limited supervision. Additional Information We are recruiting for the Chester area. This area contains specific postcode CH and your home postcode will be checked against this area. Interviews will be held between 13th and 20th July 2015. Due to the nature of this role a CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) check will be required.
