Job Description

Full Time 37.5 hours per week London, EC3 This is an exciting and challenging role for you to provide a support and information service for serving, ex service personnel, their families and the general public. You will provide a proactive first point of contact service to all clients on the Forcesline helpline, dealing with emotional helpline calls and requests for practical advice and information. You will liaise closely with colleagues across SSAFA and with other external support agencies. To be successful you will: - Have a passion to support military personnel, their families and the ex service community - Have excellent empathy and active listening skills - Have an interest in the military community and SSAFA - Have a broad knowledge of welfare legislation - Have strong written skills to respond to webmail enquiries and requests for support - Have experience of providing support to vulnerable emotional clients.
