Job Description

Up to £270 per day (can pay LTD) - 45 hours per week - Feb/March start

Your new company
Hays is working with a small construction company who specialise in building high-spec residential units on smaller plots.

Your new role
You will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations on the construction site. You will regularly review project progress to assess how closely it's proceeding to the projected timeline, whilst reviewing invoices, resource costs, contracts etc. You will communicate about ongoing site work including clients, other contractors, and members of the public. You will be responsible for ensuring that work complies with building regulations and health and safety legislation as well as other legal requirements.

While work is taking place, you will monitor progress, oversee delivery of materials, carry out safety checks, and sort out any problems which could hold up work as they arise, whilst keeping the client updated regularly on progress.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Experience working on smaller plots that are finished to a high spec - attention to detail.
  • 5+ years experience working as a No:1 on site.
  • SMSTS, First Aid, Black Card.
  • Strong H&S awareness.
  • Able to effectively communicate with a range of audiences.
