Music teaching role in Merton, South West LondonSalary: Competitive, depending on experience Start Date: Easter, full time Contract Term: Temporary on going with an option to go permanent for the right personDaily rate: £180 - 220 Contract Type: Full Time

This secondary school is Ofsted rated 'Outstanding' based in Merton, South West London are looking for a full time Qualified Teacher of Music who can deliver lessons to KS3/ KS4/ KS5 from Easter onwards on temporary ongoing basis till the end of academic year (July 2024). You will have the opportunity to work with supportive and experienced team in Music and Arts department.This position is to after Easter half-term on a full-time basis.Your new role
You will be responsible for teaching music lessons across all key stages. The role is full time 5 days a week, covering music lessons across all year groups, depending on the schedule.As this is a permanent position, you will be responsible for planning and delivering lessons, completing the subsequent marking and assessment of pupils' work, ensuring all pupils are progressing well within the classroom.This role will also require you to ensure all behaviour is appropriate, and that pupils are achieving to the best of their ability.As this is a long-term role, you will also be required to attend parents' evenings and contribute to the other school functions.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in securing this position, you must have Qualified Teacher Status in Music and have experience of teaching music lessons across KS3/ KS4/ KS5 across secondary schools and be confident with UK curriculum. You must possess positive feedback from your previous schools as references will be obtained. You must have a good track record of strong classroom management skills in order to ensure students are achieving to the best of their abilities.You must be available to start Easter 2024 or earlier if needed with a real passion and drive to provide a high quality of teaching and therefore contribute to the overall success of the department.
