Learning Support /Teacher Assistant job. 1 to 1 support. Yr 1 pupil with ASD. £90-£102 p/d. Westminster

Are you an experienced Learning Support / Teaching Assistant looking for a new job? We have an excellent job opportunity at an outstanding primary school in Westminster supporting a Year 1 pupil with autism.

About the role:
The school is in need of an experienced Teaching Assistant who has worked with SEN pupils, preferably pupils with autism. The successful candidate will work 1:1 with a Year 1 pupil providing support and guidance to enable them to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:
• Work 1:1 with a child with autism, providing support and guidance to enable them to achieve their full potential.
• Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering lessons that meet the needs of the child.
• Monitor and track the progress of the child, providing regular feedback to the class teacher and SENCO.
• Work collaboratively with other members of the school team to ensure the child's needs are met.
• Attend training and development sessions as required.

What you need to apply for this Year 1 LSA support job in Westminster:
• Experience of working with children with special educational needs.
• Excellent behavioural management skills.
• Knowledge of the National Curriculum and the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of individual children.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
