Your new role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced science teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging and informative lessons to students of varying ages and abilities. They will create class syllabi, lesson plans, and supplemental materials that teach the fundamentals of science, including biology, chemistry, physics, and environmental science. The teacher will also be responsible for observing student behaviour in the classroom, assigning grades to assignments, and tracking and communicating students' advancement throughout the course. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in science, science education, or a related discipline, as well as prior experience as a science teacher. They should also have excellent presentation abilities, strong written and administrative skills, and a nurturing, adaptable approach to instructing. Passion for fostering scientific literacy and academic excellence is a must.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning lessons and activities that facilitate students' acquisition of basic and advanced science skills.
  • Instructing in a manner that develops students' confidence in their abilities.
  • Observing and managing classroom dynamics.
  • Invigilating and grading projects, quizzes, and examinations.
  • Tracking and communicating students' advancement throughout the course.
  • Ensuring that the classroom remains free from food and drink at all times.
  • Downloading important software updates and maintaining hardware.
  • Attending parent-teacher and faculty conferences.
  • Key Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in science, science education, or related discipline.
  • Teaching certification for the level at which you will be instructing.
  • Prior experience as a science teacher.
  • Excellent presentation abilities.
  • Strong written and administrative skills.
  • Nurturing, adaptable approach to instructing.
  • Passionate about fostering scientific literacy and academic excellence.
