Senior Mechanical Engineer - World Leading Engineering & Design Consultancy - Water Infrastructure - Belfast

Your new company
Our client, a global pioneer in engineering, design consultancy, and construction, boasts a broad portfolio of projects delivered in the UK and internationally, particularly in the water and wastewater infrastructure sector. They are currently on the lookout for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their growing Infrastructure division. This position will be located in Belfast.
Your new role

  • Collaborating within a diverse team to devise solutions that meet client needs
  • Delivering mechanical design components of projects as a part of multidisciplinary, geographically diverse, and multi-party teams
  • Technical report writing at all stages of the project lifecycle.
  • Interacting with both internal and external clients across the UK and globally
  • Assisting in bid processes and actively contributing to secure new business
  • Offering fresh, innovative ideas and suggesting potential innovations
  • Opportunity to showcase your project work at discipline group meetings, company meetings, or conferences
  • Working with and developing digital tools and products.
    What you'll need to succeed
  • Degree-qualified with a mechanical engineering bias; ideally chartered member of a recognised engineering institution or already working towards chartership.
  • Positive and enthusiastic, a confident communicator and a team player.
  • Able to demonstrate a keen interest in the water/wastewater industry and ideally spent some time working in the water sector or a related process industry, although this is not a prerequisite
  • Have a good understanding of the design process design process and are eager to learn and implement new concepts.
  • Have a track record of completing tasks on schedule, within budget, and to a high technical standard
  • Willingness to contribute to and develop technical knowledge networks.
