HR Administrator

Your new company
Hays are working with an established and prestigious organisation in Shrewsbury who are looking for a HR Administrator on a contract basis until August 2024. This is an exciting opportunity that could extend.
Your new role
Reporting to the HR Manager your role will be:

  • To support the HR Team in the administration and co-ordination of the recruitment.
  • Preparing application packs and placing advertisement on websites and in press as required.
  • Assisting with all other recruitment administration ie photocopying, emailing, and co-ordinating and liaising with Line Managers.
  • Organise interviews for short listed candidates and liaising with the HR.
  • To support the HR Team in the administration and co-ordination of the recruitment and selection procedure.
  • Preparing applicationpacks and placing advertisement on websites and in press as required.
  • Taking calls, answering emails andco-ordinating the application forms received.
  • To support the leavers process and administration in liaison with the HR Co-ordinator.
  • To keep an up-to-date knowledge of best practice through various forms ie: newsletters, internet, magazines etc.
  • To ensure that all HR filing is kept up-to-date on personal files.
  • Organise interviews for short listed candidates andliaising with the HR
  • What you'll need to succeed
  • In order to be considered for this role you will need:
    • Good standard of education . GCSE level or equivalent.
    • Completed, or working towards, a HR related qualification would be an advantage but not essential.
    An ICT Microsoft qualification would be an advantageExperience of working in a busy office working environment is essentialSome experience in HR background would be an advantageMust have demonstrable administrative experience.Must have a high level of attention to detailAble to recognise when to refer decisions to more senior staffHave an appreciation of statutory regulations relating to safer recruitment in an education setting
