They have divisions in Civil & Structural Engineering, Environmental, Building Services, Architecture and Project Management and offer solutions across a fantastic range of sectors from residential to urban master-planning, life sciences and aviation.
Your new company's Manchester-based Civil Infrastructure team, housed in a modern and vibrant office workplace, are looking to further strengthen their design capabilities to meet their ever-growing pipeline of interesting work.

Your new role
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Civil Infrastructure Engineer to play a leading part in the design of some of the most prestigious infrastructure projects, often ranging into the £100m's and contributing to the development of the team, commercially and individually.
Working alongside a team of engineers and technicians at different career stages as well as colleagues across various other specialisms, you will play a crucial part in delivering profitable and technically sound projects from day one.
You will take responsibility for all aspects of design from feasibility through to construction, mentorship of graduates and junior engineers, checking of documents and drawings produced by your team, managing important client relationships and overall delivery.
As your skills develop, you will be given the opportunity to earn greater autonomy whilst being introduced to the commercial management of projects and clients. Guidance and support through your professional qualifications (CEng) will be shared on a regular basis as you build your portfolio and prepare for exams, if you aren't qualified yet.

What you'll need to succeed
Education to degree level in Civil Engineering is required as well as some progress towards achieving your Chartership qualifications from the ICE or IStructE, unless already qualified. Further to this is demonstratable consultancy experience across multiple sectors using design software such as AutoCAD, Micro/Infodrainage, Civil3D and PDS.
Knowledge of relevant construction methods is essential with an understanding of the localised markets being desirable for a succesful application.
You should also have technical knowledge in the design of infrastructure, including roads, highways, drainage layouts, flood risk assesments, pavements, public realm, earthworks, SuDS for both highway and drainage authorities as well as developers, taking schemes through the full stage of design.

What you'll get in return
You will be rewarded with a competitive salary ranging from £45,000 - £55,000 depending on your relevant consultancy experience. Please continue with your application if your salary expectations don't quite fall in line with the above recommendation.
Agile and flexible working patterns have been fully embraced by your new company, with 3 days in the office and 2 working from home the current requirements, flexible again for specific situations.
A competitive company pension, holiday allowance, discretional annual bonus, private medical care, wellness benefits and an engaging social calendar have created an engaged and motivated workforce that you can become part of.
Importantly, continued and market leading professional development will be provided and a clear pathway to more senior positions driven by regular targets and progress updates by line managers.
