Water Modeller, Hydraulic Modeller, Urban Drainage Modeller

Your new companyHays are currently recruiting for an Urban Drainage Modeller to be based in Belfast, Northern Ireland. We are working in partnership with a world-leading design, engineering and project management organisation dedicated to engineering a better future for everyone. The company is committed to delivering end to end service to their clients across the whole life cycle from Capital, Consulting, Decommissioning, Engineering and Design, Operations and Maintenance, Project and Program management up to Project Delivery.An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Urban Drainage Modeller to join the Asset Planning and Solutions Team.Your new role
As an Urban Drainage Modeller, you will play a crucial role in the planning and design of water management systems, utilising advanced modelling techniques to analyse hydraulic behaviours, assess risks, and optimise system performance.Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop models to evaluate the flooding and environmental problems and generation of outlined solutions.
  • Design water supply and trunk mains
  • Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to identify design solutions and optimise system performance.
  • Undertaking feasibility studies using computer modelling analysis, site surveys and walkovers
  • Provide technical support and expertise to project teams and clients.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in hydraulic modelling and water management.

  • What you'll need to succeed
    To be successful for the Urban Drainage Modeller role, it is essential that you are educated to degree level: BSc/BEng/Meng in geography, GIS, Science, engineering related subject or equivalent considered.You must have experience of urban drainage modelling within InfoWorks ICM ,GIS packages such as ARC or MapInfo. It is important that you have good communication skills, can work in a team environment and must be flexible with work duties. You will be self-motivated and demonstrate an ability to work with others in a variety of project roles.What you'll get in return
