Job Description

Project Manager required by NIHE in Craigavon to oversee the delivery of planned maintenance works

Your new company
The services of Hays have been retained by our client, the Northern Ireland Housing Executive, to recruit a Project Manager (planned maintenance) on an ongoing temporary contract basis. You will be based in the Housing Executive office in Craigavon.

Your new role
You will have responsibility for Project Managing Multi Planned Maintenance Projects, which will include:

Managing in-house construction professionals, including Clerk of Works and Mechanical & Electrical Inspectors; Appointing and managing external professional consultants;
Administering JCT contracts and NEC3 Short Contract for planned maintenance contracts;
Performance managing construction works, monitoring KPIs and applying Low Performance Damages as required under the contract;
Chairing various meetings at various stages of the contract;
Monitoring the performance of external contractors and consultants.

What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this position, you must meet at least one of the following criteria:

Possess a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant Building / Construction / Technical Discipline plus 2 years' relevant experience as outlined above, or;
Possess a relevant BTEC Higher Cert/Diploma or qualification of an equivalent academic level plus 3 years' relevant experience in Building / Construction as outlined above.
